There are four separate class championships. The driver with the fastest qualifying lap in each class earns one bonus point. One bonus championship point will also be awarded to the driver who completes the most laps in the race in each car provided they comply with the maximum and minimum driving limits.

Points allocated per round, two rounds per event. Fastest lap in each round earns 1 bonus point.

  BTCC

There are two rounds per event, a sprint race and a feature race, points allocated per round/race. There are two classes, BTC Touring and BTC Production. In the sprint race, in each class, a bonus point is awarded for pole position as well as for the fastest lap of the race. In the feature race, in each class, a bonus point is awarded for pole position, for the fastest lap of the race as well as to any driver who leads a lap.

  CART

Qualifying sees a bonus point awarded for pole on ovals, while on road courses a bonus point is awarded for the fastest driver in Friday qualifying as well as another bonus point for the fastest driver in Saturday qualifying. A bonus point is also awarded for most laps led.

  WRC

Manufacturers points are allocated to the six highest finishing cars eligible to score manufacturers points, using the same distribution as that used for the drivers championship. For a manufacturer to be eligible, they must enter all the season's events with a minimum of two and maximum of three cars. Even if three cars are entered by the manufacturer, only the two best placed cars entered by each manufacturer will score manufacturers points. A car not registered or ineligible to score manufacturers points does not prevent the next best eligible car from earning those points.
