My Favourite Things

by Michael Schumacher

Raindrops on circuits and a wet weather tire
Bright red Ferraris and Rubens' engine on fire
Red cars that go fast with Marlboro on their wings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

Silver coloured trophies and crisp apple strudel,
Five World titles and schnitzel with noodles,
All my teammates tied up with strings,
These are a few of my favourite things.

When my car breaks,
When my bro rings,
When I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel, so bad.

The Week In Pictures

"Caught Speeding"

- "You were driving at over 200km/h in an F1 car on a public
road! I'll have to take your license. What's your name son?"

- "Schumacher, Ralf Schumacher."

"Alonso's Teammate"

Although Renault's team manager said the team would be built around Fernando Alonso, his teammate Jarno Trulli is still treated equally at Renault as was witnessed when he enjoyed a quiet drive in his company car, supplied by Briatore, around Barcelona.

BMW to File for Divorce from WilliamsF1?

Munchen, Germany. Popular bombshell BMW has supposedly filed for divorce from longtime spouse WilliamsF1, according to court papers obtained Tuesday.

Insiders say that a divorce petition was entered in Munchen Superior Court on May 9th, BMW cited lack of performance in seeking to end the 3-year marriage to WilliamsF1.

The petition says the couple, who married in October 1999, separated on May 1st, the same day BMW raised eyebrows in the F1 paddock by watching the podium ceremony without her spouse.

Representatives for the couple could not immediately be reached for comment.

BMW and WilliamsF1 met at the 1997 European GP, and while WilliamsF1 was comfortably winning the Grand Prix the young BMW was only making a brief appearance in a support race.

Since then, BMW has catapulted to stardom as the most exciting find in the Formula One paddock.

Meanwhile, WilliamsF1's career has hit a slump with friends of the couple mentioning incidents of BMW complaining about WilliamsF1 "not performing" and "wearing out his shoes too quickly."

A representative for BMW has dismissed gossip of a romance between BMW and her mid European neighbour, Sauber, insisting in People magazine this week that they "have never had an affair and are not dating."

Elusive new McLaren MP4/18 Sighted in a Scottish Lake

Does beastly car threaten local villagers?

Loch Ness, Scotland. Local villagers near the Loch Ness lake in central Scotland described to reporters the remarkable sight of the elusive McLaren MP4/18 being tested in their local lake.

"I swear governor," said local fishmonger Shamus MacAdder, "It popped out of the water, braked hard and shot like a silver arrow to the east."

"I'd recognize the sound of Mercedes traction control anywhere," he added.

Unofficial reports that the forthcoming McLaren car had also been spotted in the Himalayan mountains could not be confirmed.
