The CART Points System
First place is awarded 31 points, and from 2nd to 10th there are two points difference, from 27 to 11 respectively. From 10th position to 20th, there's a point difference, from 10 points to 1 point respectively. A bonus point is awarded for fastest driver in Friday qualifying as well as another bonus point for the fastest driver in Saturday qualifying. A bonus point is also awarded for any driver who leads a lap, as well as to the driver who sets the fastest lap, and also to the driver that gains the most places from their starting position. According to the FIM regulations, riders are classified if they complete 75% of the race distance within 5 minutes of the winner.

Teams are awarded only for their best result in each race (the highest score of their two drivers).
