With four double qualifying sessions completed for 2004, the differentials are once again on a roll! Let's see which drivers deserve bragging rights.
San Marino Notables
- Setting the Record Straight: The San Marino Grand Prix was, of course, Jenson Button's best qualifying result ever and the Briton's first pole position in Formula One. It was also Giorgio Pantano's equal best qualifying result (15th).
- Exclusions from the second session: McLaren's pair of David Coulthard and Kimi Raikkonen were once again excluded from the second qualifying chart because Raikkonen failed to set a time. Likewise, Sauber's duo of Felipe Massa and Giancarlo Fisichella were dropped because Fisichella did not even go out, while Minardi's teammates Gianmaria Bruni and Zsolt Baumgartner were excluded due to the latter's spin on his fastlap.
- Changes since Malaysia: In the first session chart, Juan Pablo Montoya has re-passed his Williams teammate Ralf Schumacher.
