Arrows driver Jos Verstappen has denied that he will have any input into the decision for his teammate in the 2002 season.
Dutchman Verstappen has already been confirmed to stay at the team next year, but Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw is yet to confirm a second driver.
Verstappen's current teammate Enrique Bernoldi has struggled in his first season in Grand Prix racing this year, but even though Verstappen has said he does not have the best relationship with Bernoldi, he added that it is not up to him to decide who he will drive alongside in 2002.
"I talk a lot with Tom but I think Tom makes up his own mind," said Verstappen. "He doesn't need my mind to know which driver he wants.
"I think Tom knows very well which driver he needs and we will see if he gets those or not - the future will tell. I think experience (in a team-mate) would help. That would be better for me."
