Zanardi Walks to Present Award

Monday December 17th, 2001

Alex Zanardi took another step to a full recovery from the injuries sustained in his horrific crash at the Lausitzring by walking onto the stage at the Bologna Motorshow at the weekend.

The Italian took steps onto the stage and presented Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher with an award following his successful title bid last year with Ferrari.

Zanardi lost both of his legs in the accident at the German track, but was able to walk thanks to two prosthetic limbs, and stood to present Schumacher with his trophy.
