Tennis star Boris Becker, embroiled in a divorce and child custody battle with wife Barbara, will continue to appear in advertisements for car maker DaimlerChrysler, a German newspaper said on Saturday.
Television airtime has already been booked for Becker to appear with Formula One driver Mika Hakkinen in advertisements in January, the Welt am Sonntag Sunday newspaper said in a pre-released story.
Becker filed for divorce in a German court in December on the same day as Barbara applied for financial support and custody of their two sons in a Florida court.
Initial hearings this week received saturation coverage in the German media, with television channels broadcasting live from the Miami courtroom and the marital bust-up dominating the tabloid front pages.
Becker has blamed the break-up of the seven-year marriage on the pressure of being rich and famous.
Germany's Bild tabloid said in its Saturday edition that the Beckers had been spotted meeting on Friday for dinner in Miami, together with their lawyers, prompting the paper to speculate that the couple may come to a settlement.
