McLaren driver David Coulthard has become the part owner of a hotel in Monaco.

British driver Coulthard has followed the example of British American Racing driver Jacques Villeneuve, who owns a café-bar in Montreal, by investing in The Columbus Monaco - a luxury hotel.

Coulthard's new acquisition overlooks the harbour and the Princess Grace Rose Garden.

Sister hotels are set to follow the Monaco hotel with Britain and the United States the next venues for Coulthard's business activities.
