Benetton's Giancarlo Fisichella was named as the best Italian driver in Formula One for the fourth successive year at an awards ceremony at Ferrari's Fiorano-base.
Fisichella, who is currently testing with Benetton at Valencia, was represented by his wife Luna at the ceremony, which took place at Fiorano on Monday.
President of CSAI (Italy's motorsport body) Piero Ferrari presented awards to Audi driver Emanuele Pirro, European Super Touring Cup champion Fabrizio Giovanardi and Formula One hopeful Giorgio Pantano.
Ferrari were also given an award for their double championship success, with sporting director Jean Todt representing the team at the ceremony.
