Marlboro Wants More Space

Wednesday January 17th, 2001

Ferrari's main sponsor Marlboro is thought to be pressuring the Italian team in order to increase the advertising space on the red cars for the upcoming seasons.

Marlboro, part of the Philip Morris group, has been sponsoring Formula One teams and Grand Prix events for years, and its image has been associated with the sport for more than three decades.

One of the most popular tobacco brands in the world, Marlboro is thought to be aiming to exploit Formula One sponsorship before it is banned in 2006.
