Brazilian driver Enrique Bernoldi could be on his way to the Arrows team, according to reports in Brazil's press.
Bernoldi, who raced in F3000 championship last year with the Red Bull Junior Team, was initially linked with a seat at the struggling Minardi team alongside young Spaniard Fernando Alonso, but according to the reports, the 22-year old Brazilian will join Arrows next season.
Bernoldi is sponsored by Red Bull, and it is thought that Dietrich Mateschitz, the company's owner, was in talks with Minardi but the deal fell through when the Austrian found out that the Italian team would use the old Ford engines next season.
According to the reports, Bernoldi will become Arrows' racing driver, replacing either Pedro de la Rosa or Jos Verstappen, who haven't been yet officially confirmed at the team.
"I can't say anything," Bernoldi was quoted as saying on Thursday. "I have orders not to comment anything about my future until the deal is done."
