Ferrari have been honoured for their 2000 world championship success -- with Michael Schumacher's F1-2000 depicted on an official Italian stamp.
Both Ferrari's director of communications Antonio Ghini, and racing director Stefano Domenicali were present at the Maranello town hall to witness the launch at a special ceremony on Friday.
Released by the Italian Post Office and the town council, a total of six million copies of the new 5000 lire stamp which has the F1-2000 on it with a chequered flag background will be produced.
Maranello Mayor Giancarlo Bertacchini was delighted with the attendance, and proud of the town's association with the world champions.
"Behind every stamp there is a story, and the story of Maranello is tied to the exploits of the Prancing Horse," said Bertacchini.
