World Champion Michael Schumacher will wear the Schuberth helmet at next weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix despite a court ruling against it recently, according to reports in the German press.
Schumacher lost a legal battle against Sports Europe, who distributes the Bell helmets, after a Belgian court ruled in favour of the company, who claimed that the German star had not respected his contract with them.
The Belgian court forced Schumacher to wear the Bell helmet during this year's Australian Grand Prix or pay a fine of around $120,000 each day he wore a different one. The driver wore the Bell helmet during the race, despite not being happy with it.
However, according to recent reports in Germany, Schumacher has decided to switch to the Schuberth helmet, something which could cost him dear.
The German complained in Melbourne about the lack of ventilation of the Bell helmet, and the Malaysian Grand Prix being one of the toughest of the calendar due to the high temperatures and the humidity, is thought to be the main reason why he could decide to use the Schuberth unit.
It is still unclear if Schumacher will use the new helmet for the rest of the season.
