According to reports published in the Argentinean press, Brazilian driver Ricardo Zonta could be in line for a testing role with Prost Grand Prix.
Zonta, who left the British American Racing team last season, joined Jordan-Honda as test driver this year, and according to El Clarin newspaper, the Brazilian could switch to the Prost team if he is offered the chance to race this season.
Prost's racing driver Gaston Mazzacane is still rumoured to have a performance clause on his contract which could be used to replace him during the season in case he underperforms. The Argentine driver has been clearly outpaced by his French teammate Jean Alesi in the first two rounds of the championship.
The Prost team don't have an official test driver so far, and they have used both Spaniard CART driver Oriol Servia, and Frenchman Stephane Sarrazin for last week's Barcelona testing.
Sarrazin, as well as former Formula One driver Mark Blundell, is also thought to be one of the favourites for the job.
