The Sauber team have denied the rumours which indicated that young Finn Kimi Raikkonen could be set to replace Rubens Barrichello at Ferrari next season.
Following reports in the Italian press saying Ferrari's technical director Ross Brawn had shown interest in knowing the details of Raikkonen's contract, Sauber have rejected the rumours, saying Brawn has not talked to any members of the team.
"I don't think so - it's not possible during the season," Sauber's press officer Agnes Carlier told Annanova.com. "Peter Sauber fully expects Kimi to see out his contract with us until 2003.
"This is one of those favourite fairy-tales, but it's not true," she added. "This is a story that was spread around three or four Grands Prix ago and it's catching."
Sauber's comments come only a day after Ferrari's sporting director had dismissed the speculation about Barrichello's future saying the Italian team are happy with the Brazilian.
