Briton Johnny Herbert has revealed he is interested in racing in the new Premier1 championship, which is expected to kick off in July next year.
Herbert, who retired from Formula One racing at the end of 2000 and was Arrows test driver this year, admitted he is keeping his options open for 2002 and said he would enjoy racing against former World Champions Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill, who have been approached by Premier1.
"I am keeping my options open," Herbert told the Daily Express. "If Chelsea come in then I'm their man. It would be interesting. I am a great fan of the club.
"It would be interesting to race against Nigel and Damon again because we would all be in the same car."
