German driver Heinz-Harald Frentzen is sueing the Jordan team for $7.5 million, according to a report published by Britain's weekly Autosport.
The German was sacked from the Silverstone-based team before his home Grand Prix at the end of July, despite having announced earlier this year he had extended his contract with Jordan until the end of 2002.
Frentzen, who after missing the German Grand Prix signed a deal with the Prost team for the remainder of the season, is now looking for compensation.
According to the report, the 34-year old driver is suing Jordan for loss of income and costs, and he could earn a total sum of around $7.5 million. Also, Autosport reports that Frentzen is racing for free with the Prost team, and that he will earn around $90,000 for each point scored.
