Lleyton Hewitt's visit to Barcelona's Formula One circuit this week brought back a few childhood memories and raised an unexpected sweat.
Tennis star Hewitt, the world number one, took time out from his Barcelona Open campaign to meet World Champion Michael Schumacher, who will lead the Ferrari challenge at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday.
"We talked a little about tennis and cars and how he feels in the new Ferrari," said the Australian, who returned to the court on Friday to beat Younes El Aynaoui and reach the semifinals.
"We also spoke about the Australian Grand Prix I used to go to as a child in Adelaide, before they moved it to Melbourne. I like watching Formula One and from what people have told me he could be the greatest driver of all time. When you get a chance to meet a guy like that you take it."
Hewitt also spent time with Australian driver Mark Webber, who gave him a chance to sit in the car he will use at the Montmelo circuit on Sunday.
"I was strapped in well and I was sweating up a storm just sitting there," Hewitt said. "I wouldn't want to be going round there for two or three hours."
