German Heinz-Harald Frentzen will not return for Arrows this weekend even if the team compete at the Belgian Grand Prix, his manager Monte Field said today.
Frentzen announced his split from Arrows during the summer break and the Leafield-based team, who will take part at Spa if a takeover by American investors is completed in time, have just one driver in Enrique Bernoldi.
Despite rumours in the Spa paddock that Frentzen would return this weekend, Field insisted that his driver, who will drive for Sauber next season, has no plans to be in Belgium and will not be driving for Arrows.
"It's not happening - we will not be in Belgium this weekend," Field said when asked about the speculation. "We've left the team and there will be nothing bringing us to Belgium."
Frentzen decided to part from cash-strapped Arrows in a bid to sort his future for 2003 and the German will link-up with compatriot Nick Heidfeld at Hinwil-based Sauber.
