Legendary British commentator Murray Walker has rejected the chance to return to the microphone at Grands Prix with Sky TV, according to a report in the British press.
Walker quit his role as Grand Prix commentator for British network ITV last season, after 52 years of working at the microphone. But after Sky struck a deal with Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone to broadcast an interactive, pay-per-view Grand Prix service for the next two years Walker was tipped to return.
But the 78-year-old has rejected any chance of returning to commentary, according to the Daily Mail, and is instead expected to focus on special features for ITV and his autobiography 'It's Go Go Go'.
