World Champion Michael Schumacher has ruled out swapping jobs for a day with former rally champion Colin McRae, who challenged the Ferrari driver earlier this week.
Ford driver McRae wanted to drive Schumacher's Ferrari, while the German four-time Formula One champion would get behind the wheel of his WRC Focus. However, on Thursday Schumacher said he is not interested in driving a rally car at the moment.
"I think for him it's easier for him to check out with Ford and Jaguar because they are all in one family and he would maybe get a touch what Formula One means," said Schumacher today in France. "I have been interested in running a rally car in the past.
"I have to say that I'm less interested now because I'm not so much into it any more, but maybe one day when I have time enough I would like to do it in a safe place because I'm not interested in going through the forest and risking my life."
McRae already drove a Formula One car back in 1996, when he swapped jobs with former Grand Prix driver Martin Brundle to get behind the wheel of a Jordan.
