Jordan driver Takuma Sato has confirmed that he is to compete in the third Grand Prix de Monaco Historique - one week before the Monaco Grand Prix.
Japanese Sato, who has so far endured a difficult start to life in Formula One racing, will drive the Lotus 198/R10 which Graham Hill took to victory in the principality in 1968 and 1969.
Sato visited Team Lotus, now headed by Clive Chapman - the son of founder Colin Chapman - for a seat and pedal fitting and enjoyed a brief test afterwards.
"This car is really great, I enjoyed it so much," Sato said. "I thought before that it would be a real handful and difficult to drive, but really it is so nice and responsive - I love it."
