Ickx Honoured for Monaco Duties

Ickx Honoured for Monaco Duties Former Formula One driver Jacky Ickx has been made an Officer of the Order of Saint Charles for his services to the Monaco Grand Prix.

Belgian Ickx, now 58, has been the Clerk of the Course at the Monte Carlo event for the past 20 years and he has been honoured for his work at the prestigious Grand Prix.

Ickx spent 14 seasons in Formula One from 1966 to 1979 and claimed eight victories. His best Championship haul came in 1969 and 1970 when he finished runner-up to Jackie Stewart and Jochen Rindt.
