Jordan Rides 400km for Charity

Monday November 18th, 2002

Jordan Rides 400km for CharityTeam boss Eddie Jordan completed a 400km bike ride through the African wilderness on a charity cycle ride organised by CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood), a charity of which he is a patron.

The Irishman, along with his wife and friends, took part in the Kenya Cycle Challenge, completing a gruelling 404km cycled over five days, starting in Nyeri, passing through villages and across Savannah plains, through a tropical rain forest to Kakamega, and coming to an end at Kisumu.

"It was fun but very tough and I won't tell you how sore I am and where," joked Jordan.

All the funds raised will enable CLIC, founded in 1976, to continue providing support for the families of children who are terminally ill with leukaemia or cancer.
