Former World Champion Alain Prost is looking at the possibility of getting involved in NASCAR, the Frenchman said after visiting the Winston Cup season finale race at Homestead-Miami Speedway last weekend.
"I quite like the ambience of motorsports in [the United States], so I am looking at a possibility," Prost told Turner Sports. "I cannot say more. But, I am trying to understand it, first.
"There is a huge interest for this series, even for sponsors, in Europe. I am more or less mandated by companies that asked me to see if it is interesting or not."
Prost, whose Formula One team folded a year ago, said his visit to Homestead was his first live NASCAR race, but said he follows the series on TV.
"I watch [NASCAR] very often on TV and I like it. But I had never been to see the cars and the people and it is quite nice," the Frenchman said.
