Former Formula One driver Tomas Enge will never make it back to the top of the sport because of his drug-related past, according to his manager Antonin Charouz.
Enge, who drove for the Prost team in 2001, failed an FIA dope test earlier this year, later admitted by his manager to be for the banned substance cannabis, and was stripped of his Formula 3000 title.
"Tomas has destroyed his career," Central European News reported Charouz as saying in daily newspaper Mlada fronta Dnes. "I don't think he'll be driving in Formula One again. It might also be the case that he doesn't drive in anything at all."
Charouz claimed Enge, who denied smoking the substance despite the positive test, has received no offers of a drive since being found guilty of drug use. The Czech driver has a 21-month suspended sentence and Charouz added: "Teams would rather go after someone without that kind of thing hanging over him."
