MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi has confirmed that he will test a Formula One car with British American Racing earlier next year.
Rossi, who recently wrapped up his second world title for Honda, will try out a Formula One car for the first time with Brackley-based BAR as part of a suggestion made initially by David Richards.
Rossi also confirmed he will compete in the Rally of Great Britain in Cardiff in November.
"In November I will be racing in the RAC Rally, which I hope to test for before the final (MotoGP) race in Valencia, and in January and February I hope to test the Honda Formula One car," Rossi told a news conference on the eve of the Pacific Grand Prix.
Rossi has taken 10 race wins this year on his way to his latest world title aboard a Repsol sponsored Honda four-stroke. John Surtees was the last motorcycling world champion to also secure the Formula One title.
