Barrichello Breaks British GP Trophy

Tuesday July 22nd, 2003

Barrichello Breaks British GP TrophyFerrari driver Rubens Barrichello revealed today that his British Grand Prix winner's trophy has been smashed.

Barrichello saw off the challenge of Colombian Williams driver Juan Pablo Montoya and McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen to record his first win of the season at last Sunday's Silverstone race.

But he had little time to savour the success before the trophy was damaged when it was accidentally knocked to the floor while Barrichello checked in for a flight to Brazil at the Heathrow airport.

"Somebody bumped into the trophy and it fell and broke," said the upset Brazilian. "So I hope I can get another!"
