Former Formula One driver Luciano Burti will return to racing this weekend to compete at the 24-hour race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
Burti, who will race a Ferrari F360 from the JMB Racing team, was invited to the event last weekend at Silverstone by Claudio Berro, Maserati's sporting director.
"Everything happened pretty fast," said the Brazilian, also a former test driver for the Ferrari team. "Claudio Berro invited me during the F1 GP in Silverstone, and today I am already here in Spa.
"Tomorrow I will have my first contact with the car, where I will have only 10 laps at each of the three official testing sessions; which means that I have to be fully dedicated during practice to take the most from the car."
Burti will share his car with Fabrizio de Simone and Iradj Alexander.
