Schumacher Named San Marino Ambassador

Schumacher Named San Marino AmbassadorFormula One World Champion Michael Schumacher was on Thursday officially declared an ambassador of the Republic of San Marino as part of links with his Ferrari team.

German Schumacher was offered the post after taking part in a number of events in San Marino, and he will be involved in humanitarian causes from September onwards.

"In view of the very close relationship between the San Marino state and Ferrari, is honoured to be represented by a Formula One driver whose fame will enable him to carry out this diplomatic role," a statement said.
