Briton Ralph Firman and teammate Giancarlo Fisichella will take to the rally circuit ahead of this weekend's European Grand Prix when they swap their Jordan for a Ford rally car at a rally course near the Nurburgring.

Firman, who made his Grand Prix debut this year, will join Italian Fisichella on the stage and will be given tips by Ford's Estonian World Rally Championship driver Markko Martin. The Formula One drivers will take to the wheel of last year's Ford Focus WRC.

Ford are the only company to compete in both Formula One and the World Rally Championship but Martin, who is fifth in this year's title race, will not be given the chance to test the Jordan Ford in return for giving up his Ford Focus.
