Formula One legend Sir Jackie Stewart will head to Silverstone for the ninth and tenth rounds of the British Formula Three championship this weekend to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the British Racing Drivers' Club.
Stewart, who is the president of the club and has campaigned for government support for the British Grand Prix host circuit, will present the trophies to the race winners on Monday.
"This is the BRDC's 75th anniversary and it is a proud year for us," said Stewart. "The club owns the 850 acres that surround us and we are proud of that and the work that has, and is being done, on Silverstone's infrastructure.
"We are progressing well our discussions with government to secure public funding to protect the future of British motorsport and the BRDC's aim is to be the champions for British motor racing."
Young Brazilian driver Nelson Piquet Junior will celebrate his first British Formula Three victory by driving his famous father's 1978 championship-winning Ralt RT1 F3 car before attempting to wrack up another win in this year's series.
There are 17 different races on the programme with Briton Jamie Green hoping to beat Carlin teammate Alan van der Merwe to win his second British Formula Three race of the season.
