Webber to Launch Charity Challenge

Webber to Launch Charity Challenge Jaguar driver Mark Webber will join forces with leading Australian sports figures to launch the 'Mark Webber Challenge' on Wednesday.

Webber will be joined by rowing star James Tomkins and Australia's Iron Man Guy Andrews at the launch of the event, which is aimed at raising money for charity, in Melbourne.

Webber, Tomkins and Andrews are to be accompanied by tennis player Pat Rafter, cricketer Steve Waugh and athlete Cathy Freeman in a gruelling 10-day trekking, kayaking and cycling challenge through Tasmania from November 7.

The inaugural event will raise funds for two Australian children's charities, Brainwave Australia and CanTeen, and commences on Tasmania's isolated West Coast on Friday. The 10 days will encompass a 1,000km rugged track will conclude on November 16.
