Schumacher Donates $1 Million to UNESCO

Schumacher Donates $1 Million to UNESCOSix-time Formula One World Champion Michael Schumacher has donated $1 million to UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

The German Ferrari driver, who is an ambassador of the organization, was not present at the UNESCO gala held in Neuss, near Dusseldorf, Germany, last night. His manager Willy Weber, however, attended the ceremony and presented the cheque to the organization.

Several celebrities attended the gala, including former Polish president and Nobel prize winner Lech Walesa and Renault's managing director Flavio Briatore.
