Thursday October 2nd, 2003

Verstappen Plans to Leave MinardiDutchman Jos Verstappen plans to quit the Minardi team after the final Formula One race of the season in Suzuka, Japan and would be interested in joining Jaguar next season, a Dutch magazine has reported.

"Suzuka is a nice circuit. If the car performs a bit, then we can achieve something there. In any case, I will be glad that I will be finished with Minardi then," Verstappen was quoted as saying by racing magazine Race Report.

"I'd prefer Jaguar, based on their performance and the people who work there," Verstappen said when asked about his plans after next week's Japanese Grand Prix.
