Former champion Jackie Stewart will be honoured with a ceremonial drive before Sunday's US Grand Prix to mark the 30th anniversary of his retirement from Formula One.
Stewart retired on the eve of the 1973 season-ending US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen after French Tyrrell team mate Francois Cevert was killed in practice. It would have been the Scot's 100th race.
Organisers said Stewart, world champion in 1969, 1971 and 1973, would drive a Ford GT concept car around the Indianapolis circuit 90 minutes before the start of Sunday's race.
