Electrical thunderstorms delayed the arrival on Thursday of several leading Formula One figures flying in to Indianapolis for this weekend's United States Grand Prix.
Ross Brawn was one of the main victims of the weather that produced widespread rain and high winds on Wednesday night.
The Ferrari technical director flew to Chicago from London and was due to change planes and then fly down to Indianapolis, for a mid-evening arrival on Wednesday. Instead, however, he was diverted to Louisville - original home of the great boxer Muhammad Ali - and had to sit out the storm.
"We didn't arrive in Indy until gone two in the morning," said Brawn. "It was a pretty rough ride."
Brawn showed up at the chilly and vast Indianapolis circuit on Thursday afternoon.
