Reutemann Back in F1 Action with Ferrari

Wednesday December 8th, 2004

Reutemann Back in F1 Action with FerrariFormer Grand Prix winner Carlos Reutemann got back behind the wheel of a Formula One car this morning when he tested the Ferrari F2004.

The 62-year old Argentinean, winner of 12 Grands Prix between 1972 and 1982, took to the Fiorano track and completed a total of 17 laps. Reutemann had driven for the Ferrari team during the 1976, 1977, and 1978 seasons.

"It has been an unforgettable experience," Reutemann said after the test. "I want to thank Ferrari for having organized this test, it was a lot of fun. The car is impressive, completely different from what I used to drive.

"Watching on television it seems Formula One cars are very easy to drive, but after testing one I can say that's not the case at all."
