The BAR-Honda team confirmed today that British driver Jenson Button will take part in the "Formula One Comes to Regent Street" event that will take place next Tuesday in London.
Button joins a list of drivers which includes Toyota's Cristiano da Matta, Williams' Juan Pablo Montoya, McLaren's David Coulthard, Ferrari's test driver Luca Badoer, and Minardi's Zsolt Baumgartner.
They will also be joined by former Grand Prix stars Nigel Mansell and Martin Brundle, who will drive a Jordan and a Jaguar F1 car respectively.
"Formula One coming to Regent Street is a great initiative for F1 fans at home and all over the world," said Button. "Even those who get to go to the races won't have been this close to the cars and drivers. I'm really pleased to be participating.
"It's a very busy week in the lead up to our home Grand Prix and I know there will be a lot of support for me at Silverstone next weekend. I get to hear an F1 engine revving to 19,000 rpm every other week so I know the sound is incredible, but even I can't wait to hear the noise that will be created when eight come together during the procession along Regent Street."
The event, which kicks off at 17.00 local time, will culminate with all of the cars driving together in a procession along Regent Street.
