World Champion Michael Schumacher or Ferrari teammate Rubens Barrichello will drive a Formula One fan around the Magny-Cours circuit next month as part of a fund-raising event.
The Federation Francaise du Sport Automobile (FFSA) has announced a fund-raising operation which will take place during next month's French Grand Prix, aimed at supporting the Institute for Brain and Spinal Cord Disorders (ICM) in France.
The project is supported by Ferrari's managing director Jean Todt, as well as World Champion Schumacher, and movie director Luc Besson. Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone is another of the supporters of the partnership between the FFSA and the ICM.
"It is wonderful that everyone is making a big effort for this. It is a good thing for humanity." said Ecclestone. "I hope that Jean puts in more time than the others and spends less time at Ferrari."
The FFSA said they will organise a raffle during the Magny-Cours race, with one of the prizes being a lap of the circuit with either Schumacher or teammate Barrichello in a Ferrari or a Maserati car.
