Almost ten years after the death of three-time World Champion Ayrton Senna, Christie's of London will auction a racing suit worn by the Brazilian driver.
The auction house said the event will take place on 29 March at their London base. Senna, who was killed in an accident during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix, wore the suit when he won the US Grand Prix in Detroit in 1987, when he was driving the Honda-powered Lotus.
The two-layer, fireproof Stand 21 racing suit was custom-made for Senna. The suit is in yellow Camel livery, and sports all the team Lotus sponsors' patches as well as Senna's personal sponsor, Nacional.
Christie's said the pre-sale estimate for the suit is £15,000.
