Jordan Go Surreal for Dali in Spain

Friday May 7th, 2004

Jordan Go Surreal for Dali in SpainJordan sported a surreal new look at the Spanish Formula One Grand Prix on Friday to mark the centenary of the birth of Spanish artist Salvador Dali.

A melting clock and gazing eye adorned the yellow engine covers of the EJ14 cars at the Circuit de Catalunya in the latest of a series of cultural messages sponsored by the kingdom of Bahrain.

The Dali tribute replaced a picture of three times World Champion Ayrton Senna that the team displayed at the San Marino Grand Prix on the 10th anniversary of the Brazilian's death at Imola.

Dali, who died in 1989, was born in the nearby Catalan town of Figueres on May 11, 1904.
