The Grand Prix World Championship group is set to react to the news of the introduction of new regulations for the 2005 season with an announcement next week.
The International Automobile Federation (FIA) on Friday confirmed controversial regulation changes, which had been presented to teams in draft form in June.
It is believed that GPWC, the collective voice charged with furthering the interests of the European motor manufacturers competing in Formula One, will make a major announcement in London next Tuesday.
Although no details are available, the announcement is thought to be linked to the dissatisfaction expressed by BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Honda over the 2005 regulations.
Originally formed in 2001 by BMW, Fiat, Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Renault to promote a break-away Grand Prix series offering greater financial returns to teams, the GPWC has recently evolved into a negotiating platform for the manufacturers.
