Alain Prost is hoping to sign Damon Hill for next season. Peugeot wants to see a good driver along side Panis and the engine manufacturer was disappointed that Hill didn't sign an agreement with Jordan this season.

Prost said: "I want the best driver possible on condition that he is not too expensive. I have my budget and I am sticking to it."

It is reported that the two will have talks this week to see if an agreement can be reached.

The V10 for Tyrrell

The Tyrrell team will use the V10 Ford engines next season, they will be prepared by Cosworth. Tyrrell is now using the V8 which is proving to be very under-powered and not so reliable.

Tyrrell said: "The upgrade to V10 power is a fundamental step in creating a competitive Tyrrell for next season and in building our team's future."

Agnelli: it will be difficult at Monza

Ferrari boss Gianni Agnelli has said that it will not be easy for Ferrari to take a win on their 'home track'.

He said: "Schumacher told me it's going to be a very difficult race, and that other cars will have an advantage on this circuit. There are a few things that can be improved with the aerodynamics, but I don't know if something can be done in 10 days. I just saw that they've already changed the front of the car and were doing tests."

But he did add: "For the moment, we're in good shape." And with Schumacher's/Ferrari's strategy and choices it certainly not improbable.
