Emerson Fittipaldi could get paralysed because of the injuries he suffered from the ultra-light crash he had. The pressure on his broken back has become too much so he will be flown to a hospital in Miami to see if they can do anything tom lower this pressure.

Panis tests

Olivier Panis has had a good comeback to Formula One racing. He tested the Prost-Mugen on the Magny-Cours track with a best time of 1m 14.5s (40 laps), which is just as fast as this year's pole time. Panis said after the tests: "It's a great feeling to be back at the wheel of a Formula One car." The team will decide when Panis is going to return after this weeks tests.

Some of the other teams are testing at Silverstone. Villeneuve was the fastest with a 1m 23.02.

Irvine drove with the Ferrari on the Mugello track, he clocked a best time of 1m 27.3.
