Damon Hill has been dumped by Arrows. Mika Salo, who currently drives for the Tyrrell team, will replace him. Salo will team-up with Pedro Diniz.

Arrows boss Tom Walkinshaw said: We looked very carefully at all the options and, after discussing the matter with our technical partners and sponsors realised that Mika would be the most appropriate driver for us. We have had a learning year in many ways and I am sure the undoubted talents of both Mika and Pedro will provide the perfect partnership to take us forward. While announcing the line-up, I want to thank Damon Hill for all his contributions to the team this year."

Hill stated last week that he knew where he was going to drive next year and the main option was the Prost team. But they have stated that they will not be using Hill.

Team boss Prost stated: "Everything broke down on Tuesday. Hill's priorities were different to ours and when that happens in this business then it is better that you don't team up."

Hill may sign with the Jordan team now that Fisichella has moved to Benetton. Reports say Jordan is interested, but the problem will be the money Hill wants for a drive.

Olivier Panis will return to Formula One at the Grand Prix of Luxembourg. Panis was replaced at the Prost team by Jarno Trulli because he broke both his legs during the Canadian Grand Prix.

Prost stated: "After completing more than 730 km over four days at the wheel of the Prost Mugen Honda JS45, Panis says that he is fully ready to return to Formula One racing."

The defence in the Senna trial to may call David Coulthard to testify how much the steering wheel can move while driving. Michele Alboreto testified yesterday that Senna's crash was due to a technical failure because the steering wheel moved too much. Williams' lawyers need to undermine this testimony.
