Brazilian driver Ricardo Zonta wants to become the test driver for the Ferrari team. His manger has stated he has begun talks with the Italians. Zonta, Formula 3000 champion this year, has tested a lot for Jordan during the past months, but he feels Ferrari will give him a better future.

Gianni Morbidelli and Nicola Larini also are interested in the seat although the latter is probably going to compete in the Italian Touring Car championship next year.

More and more people are getting interested in Formula One. Especially with such a close championship battle all the way to the last race of the season. 13 million Italians have watched the last race, which is simply an absolute record.
