Next year's San Marino Grand Prix may be removed from the provisional calendar said Max Mosley. He stated that the FIA is still concerned with the Italian law that Formula One personal can be brought up on charges when accidents happen, like in the Senna case. That's why the race is off unless the law is changed in Italy before December 11, the date when the new schedule is released, he said.

The Monza Grand Prix, also held in Italy, will go ahead as planned. If the San Marino Grand Prix is taken off the calendar this will mean that the Argentinean and Chinese Grands Prix will take place. Mosley said: "My feeling is that the new races in Asia will go ahead. I also believe that the financial problems in Argentina have been resolved."
