Michael Schumacher completed the tests at the Fiorano circuit for the Monaco Grand Prix. These tests were surrounded by a lot of speculation. An Italian Newspaper reported that Ferrari had held a secret test with Bridgestone tyres, which were shipped to Maranello by a Minardi truck.

Ferrari tested the tyres on Thursday, according to the newspaper. They also stated Ferrari could switch to Bridgestone before the end of the season.

Michael Schumacher ended all the speculation by commenting: "We do not plan to test the Bridgestone tyres on the circuit. The only time I have driven on Bridgestone tyres is on my Ferrari road car."
