On Saturday night at a pre-Grand Prix party, Mika Salo spoke about his concerns over the Bridgestone tyres.

Mika said "The problem with Bridgestone is that only one team is doing development work for Bridgestone". When asked if this meant that the Bridgestone tyres was effectively a McLaren tyre, Salo replied "Yes".

With only two teams in with a realistic chance of the title it seems like Bridgestone are backing McLaren in response to the effort Goodyear are putting into Ferrari.
